Signs of the Apocalypse - part iii

After a fortnight (actually a "third" night) of steady stink, a lull in activity.  It was determined that window screens were no match for the foul brood. Only double-locked, triple-paned vinyl replacement windows slowed the onslaught.  In the past three days over 100 of the insects were disposed of and at least one ingested.

Welcome to my nightmare

My buddy, Chuck, captured this amazing shot of me and his wife.  This ride was the most ridiculous excuse for a roller coaster EVER.  If it's not obvious, I truly thought we were going to die at the moment the photo was taken.  Passengers on the ride sped around and around in a single circle.  The operator would stop the ride when we were hanging completely upside down.  This was the absolute reverse opposite of FUN.  I was terrified and came very close to breaking down into tears when the ride finally stopped.  It was part of the Midway at Maryland's Howard County Fair.
